Dear Parents and Students,
Congratulations on a great first academic quarter! Let's do our best to complete the semester strong. Remember, your Teachers, Administrator, and Counseling Department are here to help if you encounter issues this semester. Your teachers are the first line of defense as we continue this semester. Feel free to reach out and discuss your concerns with them.
Wednesday is our SAT Day for Seniors and our PSAT Day for all others. This is a great opportunity to do your best and gain the recognition you deserve. Make sure that you get a good night's rest and eat a healthy breakfast so you can perform at your best. Please bring two no. 2 pencils and calculator; nothing else is needed for the day. Seniors will be testing on the third floor until 2pm all others will conclude at noon. No one will be allowed on the third floor while testing is in progress, please plan accordingly. Please arrive early on Wednesday, it is best to avoid the added stress of arriving late.
This Friday, the Student Council will host a Blood Drive on campus. We highly encourage everyone to donate if able. Contact Mr. Henry Garcia for more information.
Our Lady Jacket Volleyball team will be playing at Antonian on Tuesday. Game times are at 5, 6 and 7PM, all are encouraged to come and support our Lady Jackets....Sting 'em Lady Jackets!
This Sunday is the Hope for the Future 5K Run with a Mission fundraiser. If you have already registered you can pick up your packets from Mr. Henry Garcia after school Thursday. If you have not registered and would like to participate please follow the link below.

October 19, 2016 is our PSAT & SAT Day at St. A. Please note that grades 9-11 will finish at noon and all seniors will complete their SAT at 2pm. Please plan accordingly.
Mark your calendar for the Athletic Booster Club Tailgate to be held October 29, 2016. The Yellow Jacket Football team faces off against Brownsville, St. Joseph at 2pm. The campus will be open for our community tailgate at 8:30am. Please contact Mr. Vaughn Rehfeld for more information.

8th Grade Tours
October is a very busy month at St. Anthony, and in addition to the first Academic quarter ending on October 13th we will be hosting 8th grade tours for San Antonio's Catholic Middle Schools.
Help us, and spread the word about all the great things that are occurring at St. Anthony, you can help by reaching out to the 8th grade families that you know and discussing all the opportunities we offer. This is a great opportunity to surround your child with likeminded students that will add to our rich community. St. Anthony will continue to be the premier Catholic College Preparatory program with the help of our great community.

The annual Private School College Fair will be held Thursday, October 27th at St. Mary’s University. From 6:30-8:30pm colleges from around the country will be available to speak with our students about colleges, majors, and extracurricular offered. All grade levels are invited to participate! Parking passes and college roster will be provided closer to the event.

In this program, selected high school juniors and seniors may earn up to 30 hours of college credit while completing the requirements for high school graduation. The program grants dual credit for courses that have counterparts at the high school level. Students are eligible for any course available to an entering University freshman. As in the case of other University students, exceptions to prerequisites are handled on an individual basis. All connection courses are taught by the University of the Incarnate Word faculty with the same syllabus, same textbook, and same rigor as any other section taught on the campus and filled with other University students.
The Brainpower Connection is a widening circle of support, influence, and collegiality established when five different institutions - their faculties and students - connect to share their brainpower. Shared vision, shared faculties, and shared facilities help break down the walls that traditionally separate high schools and universities.
