What is Blended Learning?
Blended learning is a brilliant way to teach, and more importantly to learn. This platform allows the student both the freedom to move quickly at a self pace as well as have the guided instruction of a classroom teacher found in the traditional brick and mortar style. There are several models for Blended Learning used throughout educational systems. At St. Anthony we use the Rotation Model. Remember when we only took keyboarding in class? Remember using a floppy disk? Better yet, remember carrying your typewriter to class?As you know we are preparing students for jobs that do not yet exist. The changes in our education system must be rapid and precise in order for students to have the tools to be successful in an ever virtual future. Students today learn differently. Most of the students currently enrolled in high school have never seen or touched celluloid film. They do not know a world without internet or digital phones. They have never seen a television station shut down for the evening and the TV go to "snow."
