Welcome To St. Anthony Catholic High School
St. Anthony Catholic High School Athletic Department continues to provide the best opportunity for each athlete to succeed in every way possible. Through education, faith and a family environment, our goal is to ensure the growth intellectually, socially and athletically in every way possible. It is our goal to continue to focus on the principles and values of good sportsmanship while developing the knowledge and skills to be successful as an athlete.
It is my goal as the Athletic Director to enhance the productivity of each athlete daily to ensure the success of this program and continue with the pride and traditions that has made St. Anthony one of the top Catholic High Schools in San Antonio.

Paul Escobar is in his 1st year as a head coach here at St. Anthony Catholic High School. Escobar comes to SACHS from Texas A&M University at Texarkana where he played an intricate part of guiding the team to a top 25 NAIA National Ranking and a Red River Athletic Conference Championship. Paul is a product of the Archdiocese, he attended St. Paul Catholic School and is a 2014 Graduate of Central Catholic. While a student athlete at Central Catholic, Paul earned All District and All State Honors his Junior and Senior Years while earning a scholarship to Concordia Lutheran University. Escobar then transferred to North Lake College where he led his team to the DCCD Conference Championship. While at North Lake College he earned Newcomer of the Year and 1st Team All-Conference. Coach Escobar finishing the final two seasons of his collegiate career at Our Lady of the Lake University. During his tenure, he collected All Conference honors his junior and senior year, the Jack Hank Newcomer of the Year award, Champions of Character award. Escobar graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology with a Minor in Economics.
Coach Escobar has had coaching stops at St. John Bosco and Central Catholic before heading to Texas A&M Texarkana. Coach Paul Escobar is happily married to his loving wife Alexis.

Justin Humphries is entering his 1st year as the head coach here at St. Anthony Catholic High School. Humphries comes to SACHS from McDade High School for the last 3 years. Justin played a huge role in turning the program around and setting many different school records as the Offensive Coordinator. Along with coaching for McDade ISD, Humphries had stops at St. Peter’s Middle School, Atonement Academy and Texas Military Institute (T.M.I.) where he served as both an offensive and defensive specialist. Along with coaching football, Coach Humphries had the opportunity to be just as successful as a coach in track and basketball.
Justin Humphries is a part of the Brainpower Connection and is a graduate of the University of Incarnate Word. Justin completed his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology.
