St. Anthony Catholic High School 26-27 Cheer Tryout Information

We are excited to invite all incoming 8th graders and current St. Anthony Catholic High School students in grades 9–12 to participate in Cheer Tryouts for the upcoming season. We look forward to welcoming new and returning students as we begin another exciting year of school spirit, teamwork, and tradition. Please note, cheer tryouts are closed to the public.

Tryout Schedule

Day One – Monday, May 18, 2026
4:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
All tryout material will be taught and reviewed, including:

Cheer
Band Chant
Dance

Day Two – Wednesday, May 20, 2026
4:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
Candidates will perform tryout material. Tryout numbers will be selected at random prior to auditions.

The 2026–2027 Cheer Team will be announced no later than Friday, May 22, 2026.

Tryout Attire:

Female Candidates:

Black, gray, maroon, or dark-colored Spanx or athletic shorts
Plain white, gray, maroon, or St. Anthony t-shirt
No-show socks
Proper cheer or tennis shoes
Hair slicked back into a ponytail
Short hair may be worn half up/half down as long as it is out of the face
Bow or ribbon in hair
Light make-up including blush and lipstick
Mascara or lashes are recommended

Male Candidates:

Black, gray, or maroon athletic shorts
Plain white, gray, maroon, or St. Anthony t-shirt
Crew socks
Proper cheer or tennis shoes

Additional Requirements:

No jewelry or piercings during tryouts

Important Information

July 10–12, 2026: Mandatory Cheer Camp for all team members
A $200 deposit will be due by May 22, 2026 upon making the team
Please fill out the required form if you are interested in STA Cheer.

I, the undersigned, fully understand and agree to all rules and regulations which govern the St. Anthony Catholic High School Cheerleading team. As a representative of the school, I understand that I will have to attend after school practices, tumbling, and support all school events related to cheer. I understand and agree to abide by all the rules outlined in the St. Anthony Cheer Constitution and the St. Anthony Catholic High School Student Code of Conduct if selected as a cheerleader for this school year.

PARENTAL RELEASE

II, the undersigned, fully understand and agree to all the rules and regulations which will govern my son/daughter if he/she is chosen to represent St. Anthony Catholic High School as a cheerleader. I further understand that this is an extracurricular activity and that attendance at all financial responsibility, school practices, tumbling, games, special functions and summer camp is a requirement of the elected cheerleader. I hereby give consent to my son/daughter to try out for cheerleader at St. Anthony Catholic High School and recognize his/her responsibilities and requirements as a leader of his/her school. I understand that, if chosen, I am responsible for my son/daughter to pay for cheer camp, uniforms, and other miscellaneous fees throughout the season. Further, I understand that my personal insurance must cover my son/daughter. I give permission for my child to receive medical attention in the event that I cannot be present or reached for any reason.
