Tuition Assistance and Scholarships

For over 120 years St. Anthony Catholic High School has been dedicated to a curriculum based on Catholic values and traditions. We are committed to supporting you through the process of finding the financial decision that works best for your family. Please review the financial options available, and any eligibility requirements for aid. With the help of former Yellow Jackets, the Brainpower Connection Program and the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word (CCVI), we are able to consider aid to those that complete their application.

Tuition Assistance

Yellow Jacket Sibling Discount: Awards $1,000

Siblings of current Yellow Jacket students will receive an automatic $1000 discount on their tuition each year. The award only applies to one student account. Verification must be received through our Enrollment office and noted on your application.

Yellow Jacket Alumni Discount: Awards $1,000

Students who are dependents of alumni or siblings of alumni will receive an automatic $1000 discount. Verification and request must be received through our Enrollment office and noted on your application.

ARAMARK Tuition Assistance Program

The ARAMARK Tuition Assistance Program offers a unique opportunity to help pay for tuition at St. Anthony Catholic High School. Learn more about the program requirements (PDF).

Hope for the Future Scholarship

St. Anthony Catholic High School encourages parents to apply for the Hope for the Future tuition assistance program. Hope for the Future provides need-based tuition assistance for students who meet eligibility requirements and enroll in Catholic Schools in the Archdiocese of San Antonio. Apply Here.

Brainpower Scholarship: Awards $1,500

Students who have attended the following middle schools will receive an annual scholarship of $1,500: Blessed Sacrament, St. Anthony Catholic School, St. Mary Magdalen and St. Peter Prince of the Apostles School.

Middle School Valedictorian and Salutatorian Scholarship: Awards $1,000

Students who are the valedictorian or salutatorian as an 8th grader will receive a $1,000 scholarship. This is a one-time scholarship to assist with 9th grade tuition. The valedictorian or salutatorian status must be confirmed with the middle school principal.

Serving the Church Scholarship: Awards $500

Open to all incoming 9th graders through 12th grade. Students who are currently involved in their church/parish as an alter server, lector, Extraordinary Eucharistic Minister or serves in a role in the youth group leadership team may receive a $500 scholarship. A letter must be submitted and signed by a priest, deacon or youth group minister from your church/parish.

Yellow Jacket Top 10% Scholarship: Awards $500

Top 10% of students in 9th, 10th, and 11th grade at SACHS will receive a $500 scholarship. Transcripts must be verified by the school counselor. This is a one-time scholarship that will be awarded each year to students who are considered the top 10% of their class.

Matthew Vargas Scholarship

The Matthew Vargas Scholarship is awarded by St. Anthony Catholic High School in conjunction with the Vargas family. This scholarship was established by the Vargas Family in memory of their beloved son, brother, cousin and nephew, Matt Vargas, who attended St. Anthony all four years of his high school academic/athletic career. Families may go through hardships while having students in private school. This scholarship is designed to assist at least one family in need every school year.The recipient should have a passion for attending St. Anthony and carrying out the mission and values of the school. Transfer Grant Scholarship: Awards $1,500

The Transfer Grant is available to any public, private, home school or charter school student who transfers into  St. Anthony Catholic High School in grades 10th-12th. This is a one-time scholarship that will be awarded in the first year of school upon transferring.

Yellow Jacket Financial Tuition Assistance Scholarship: Deadline June 1, 2024

All students who have a financial need for tuition assistance MUST submit a Hope for the Future (HFF) application. If the HFF application is not submitted, consideration will NOT be given. Students who need of tuition assistance beyond the scholarships listed must submit a 3-paragraph essay. Please choose any three of the following questions below:

  1. How will a SACHS scholarship help you achieve your goals?
  2. What does serving the common good/ helping the community mean to you?
  3. How have you exemplified Catholic values during your life?
  4. What does holiness mean to you? How do you foresee your faith interacting with your dream career?
  5. Write a short autobiography including information about your family, community involvement, hobbies, spare time activities, and what you hope to do in the future.

Essays from previous submissions or years will not be accepted.
