New Athletic Director Hired

St. Anthony Catholic High School (SACHS) is proud to welcome Ed McCabe to the Yellow Jacket family as the new Athletic Director (AD). McCabe brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the position having served for 19 years as an AD and 25 years as a head football coach. His portfolio includes 123 head coaching wins in football and 19 state championships as an AD.

Before joining SACHS, McCabe spent six years as both the AD and head football coach at John Paul II Catholic High School in New Braunfels, Texas. Prior to that, he served as AD and head football coach for 12 years at St. Michael’s Catholic Academy in Austin.

“I want to express how happy I am about the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of the student-athletes at SACHS,” said McCabe. “I hope to make this the best athletic program in San Antonio and enhance the overall student experience. I am also very excited to work with the new leadership at SACHS.”

McCabe joins a fairly new administrative team at SACHS, which includes Colby Miller, the new Director of Enrollment. Miller, who was already a part of the Yellow Jacket family, hails from New York and says he enjoys his time working with students and is excited to help new Yellow Jackets succeed throughout their high school careers in this new capacity.

Both McCabe and Miller work under the dedicated leadership of Dr. Kristina Vidaurri who recently completed her first full year as principal of SACHS.
