Here are your latest updates from the counselor's desk!
HAPPY FRIDAY YELLOW JACKETS!!
Welcome back!!
It has been great to see our yellow jackets as they lock in these last couple of weeks of the fall semester and prepare for midterm exams. As mentioned before, self-care is really important this time of year, between academic demands and the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, stress and anxiety can go up! So, don't forget to continue to:
*Get 6-8 hours of sleep
*Remain hydrated and eat balanced meals and snacks
*Connect with those who support you
*Spend some time doing things you enjoy
*Stay physically active
*Avoid mood altering substances (this includes energy drinks and high consumption of caffeine)
*Take care of any physical conditions that require your attention
I invite you to give yourself permission to prioritize what you need to stay mentally and emotionally strong.
Thank you again for letting us to be a part of your high school journey. If you wish to address any concerns, please reach out via email, phone or by using the booking link at the bottom of this newsletter.
May the blessing of the Lord be upon you and your loved ones all of your days.
-Angelica M. Montalvo, M.A., LPC
