Here are your latest updates from the counselor's desk!
HAPPY FRIDAY YELLOW JACKETS!!
We survived testing week!!! I am so proud of our Yellow Jackets for having a successful testing day! This is just a small step to helping them reach their lifelong goals and success. I am blessed to be a part of it!
We will conduct retakes on Wednesday October 29th, and those students who qualify for a retake have received an email and text with instructions on how to complete their registration.
Sophomores and Sophomore families! We will begin our graduation plan meetings in November. Even though it seems early, there are things we can do now to help students reach their college and career goals. I am excited to meet with each member in the Class of 2028. Families, if you would like to attend with your student, you may sign up for a slot here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0A4FA8AC2DA0FEC25-59888512-sophomore
Freshman and Sophomores began their guidance lessons with the counselor during their advisory periods this week! We are exploring ways to build our dream future by setting SMART goals and discovering our interests and how those translate into the career field.
Thank you again for letting us to be a part of your high school journey. If you wish to address any concerns, please reach out via email, phone or by using the booking link at the bottom of this newsletter.
May the blessing of the Lord be upon you and your loved ones all of your days.
-Angelica M. Montalvo, M.A., LPC Associate

The four pillars of school counseling in Texas include:
Individual Planning to address post high school preparedness,
Guidance Services in the form of class presentations and small group counseling,
Intervention Services to address the mental health of students,
