St. Anthony Catholic High School Athletic Department continues to provide the best opportunity for each athlete to succeed in every way possible. Through education, faith and a family environment, our goal is to ensure the growth intellectually, socially and athletically in every way possible. It is our goal to continue to focus on the principles and values of good sportsmanship while developing the knowledge and skills to be successful as an athlete.
It is my goal as the Athletic Director to enhance the productivity of each athlete daily to ensure the success of this program and continue with the pride and traditions that has made St. Anthony one of the top Catholic High Schools in San Antonio.

Ms. Marissa Ortiz is the current head coach for St. Anthony Catholic High School Yellow Jacket Cheerleading squad. This is her second year with St. Anthony cheer. She is a graduate of the University of Texas at San Antonio with a BA in Psychology. Ms. Ortiz has coached cheerleaders from the ages 4 to 18 years old. She is proficient in coaching all-star, elementary, middle and high school cheer. Ms. Ortiz has over 14 years of experience in coaching cheer and has participated in numerous cheer competitions.
Dance
Jaclyn Sanchez is entering her 1st year as the Jacket Jewels Dance Team Coach. This is Jaclyn’s 11th year as a Dance Educator where she has served as Competition Director, a Choreographer and a Judge. She comes to SACHS while still continuing to stay actively involved with some of the premier competition companies such as Star Dance Alliance and Worldwide Leader in Talent Competitions just to name few. Coach Sanchez received her BS in Kinesiology, Exercise Science with a Minor in Biology from Texas A&M University-San Antonio. Coach Jaclyn Sanchez has trained under some of the best choreography companies in the United States, such as Millennium Dance Complex in North Hollywood, CA and the Tremaine Dance Convention in Las Vegas, NV. Jacelyn’s personal accolade are she has performed at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City and she also is the former choreographer for singer/song writer Paula DeAnda; completing performance sets for the SA Living TV Show, music videos, and concert performance in Santa Maria, CA. Ms. Sanchez looks forward to many more years in the performing arts industry and educating her dancers to be versatile, well rounded individuals.
